Arnold Palmer Pavilion

November 17, 2008

Arnold Palmer Ketel One Pavilion

Since you won't have the opportunity to mix your own summer cocktail while attending a PGA TOU R event, why not let Ketel One mix one for you? The top tier vodka-maker is happy not only to serve up the libation, but also to provide an inspired bit of history and entertainment. At select PGA TOU R events this year, Ketel One is hosting “The Arnold Palmer Pavilion,” a traveling mini-museum and hospitality area that celebrates the King’s life and career with a large selection of memorabilia. Ketel One’s Arnold Palmer Pavilion made its debut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March to great acclaim, and continues with several other tournaments this year.

A wide range of items will be on display, many of them on loan from Palmer’s personal collection. His golf bag from the 1963 Ryder Cup, historical photographs from both his golf and aviation days, a unique fitness tool called the Vigor Whirl (which was both used and endorsed by Palmer), and even an old flight log will be on display. Additionally, there will be a special display of items and photos related to Palmer’s relationship with numerous U.S. Presidents. A personal letter from President Eisenhower, photos of Palmer with the Clintons and Bushes and other items will be included.

As for cooling down, Ketel One will be serving The Ultimate Ketel One Lemonade (Ketel One Citroen and fresh-squeezed lemonade garnished with a mint leaf or lemon wheel). Cool and refreshing, it will definitely take the edge off the summer heat. And if you’re hungry, food will be available from the tournament’s caterer.

Well worth a visit, Ketel One’s Arnold Palmer Pavilion is currently on the road and will be making stops at two more PGA TOU R events this year, including The Barclays and THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola. Keep your eyes peeled for it and stop in for a cocktail!
